William Leonard Grantham, 72, of 635 - 5th St. N.E., Pulaski, died early Monday morning in Pulaski Community Hospital.

Born in Pulaski County, the son of the late William Novea Grantham and Mary Jennings Grantham, he was a Veteran of World War II.

His daughter Dawn Joyce Grantham preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Via Grantham; three brothers, Burman Grantham, Pulaski, Arthur Grantham, Roanoke, and Tommy Grantham, Houston, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Johnny Brookman and Isabel Blankenship, both of Roanoke, Mrs. Virgil Anderson, Kingsport, Tenn., and Mrs. W.M. King, Pulaski.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, with Elder Robert Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Thornspring Cemetery. Visiting will be Tuesday afternoon, and the family will receive friends . from 7 to 9 p.m.
