Mary R. Hoover, 48, of 230 Newville Road, Shippensburg, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000 at home.

Born Nov. 19, 1951 in West Earl Township, she was the daughter of Mary Reiff Hoover of New Holland and the late Amos Z. Hoover.

She was a member of Shippensburg Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Leon H. Hoover; five daughters, Rachel H. Ramer of Shippensburg, Miriam H. Hoover, Martha H. Hoover, Lois H. Hoover and Rhoda H. Hoover, all at home; six brothers, Jonas R. Hoover and James R. Hoover, both of Shippensburg, Elam R. Hoover and Daniel R. Hoover, both of Dundee, N.Y., Ezra R. Hoover of Ephrata and Paul R. Hoover of Thorp, Wis; seven sisters, Emma R. Oberholtzer of Elam, Iowa, Barbara R. Hoover, Martha R. Hoover and Ada R. Martin, all of New Holland, Katie R. Wenger and Ruth R. Newswanger, both of Shippensburg, and Lovina R. Zimmerman of Mifflinburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Cora Burkholder.

Services will be on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Shippensburg Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hoover residence on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, is in charge of arrangements.
