A. B. Allison Funeral Held
Civil War Veteran and Prominent Citizen Buried Yesterday.
Funeral services for A. B. Allison, 79 years old, who died in his home in First street, Friday afternoon, were held yesterday in the home. Rev. R. B. Ward, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, officiating. Burial was made in Locust Hill cemetery. Mr. Allison, who was one of the pioneer residents of Hancock county, was a veteran of the Civil war, a director in the Hancock County Building and Loan society and one of the most widely known men in this section. He is survived by one son, John Allison, back of Chester, and two daughter, Mrs. Samuel McBee and Mrs. J. C. Cunningham.
