Sullivan Daily Times 17 Oct 1911; Victim of Tuberculosis. George Hunter a life long resident of Hymera and vicinity, died Sunday evening of consumption after a lingering illness of many months. He was about 45 years of age and leaves a wife and three children ranging in ages from three months to four years without any means of support. His remains were laid away Monday evening in Bethel cemetery. George Hunter Jr, a miner, married Katherine Idell "Ida" Mullens Mounts 25 Aug 1906, shortly after Ida's first husband Benjamin Franklin Mounts died in 1906. George was married once before to Pearl Mattox in 1900 and they divorced in 1901 according to marriage record, since she was 14 or 15 and he was 24 or 25 when they married not to surprising.
