Walter Augustus Bloxton, the second son of Charles Benjamin & Clementine Virginia Bloxton of Spout Springs, Appomatox County, VA.

In March 1892, I think he was in the grocery business with a Mr. Nash:
"On the road through life, a SOUND, HEALTHY CONSTITUTION. Further prevention can be assured by purchasing fresh and reliable
GROCERIES from
NASH & BLOXTON,
302 Commerce St., S.W., Roanoke, VA."
[The Roanoke Times, Vol 10, No 164, 27 March 1892]

and he went by his middle name at that time:

"W. Augustus Bloxton returned yesterday from a visit to relatives at Appomattox."
[The Roanoke Times, Vol 10, No 296, 28 August 1892]

June 11, 1900 CENSUS, Roanoke City, Roanoke, VA - 508 Roanoke St., (ALL) VA X 3

BLOXTON, Leonard, born Oct 1897 (2)(Roanoke Valley Christian High School, Class of 1917 - Leonard and Pauline Bloxton were Freshmen when Amo was a Senior in 1914 - listed in yearbook. In 1919 yearbook, the girls' 1918-1919 Basketball Team had "VIRGINIA CLEMENTINE BLOXTON", b. 1899/1900 as a substitute. "Virginia came to us last Fall from Virginia Intermont" (which had become a junior college in 1910. The name "Intermont" was a reference to the College's mountain setting. The Holston Range, which merges into the Blue Ridge Mountains, can be seen from the campus in Bristol, Virginia, part of the Tri-Cities region, which also includes Johnson City and Kingsport, Tennessee), so no photo of Virginia, and her name & bio were posted after the "W" Senior photos with a drawing of a girl in a cap and gown. (She was probably named after Clementine Virginia Bloxton, Walter Bloxton's mother, and is most probably Leonard's younger sister.)
