Dr. Benjamin H. Bloxton, D.D.S., was born in 1874 to Charles B. Bloxton (1845-1908) and Clementine V. Portwood Bloxton (1814-1907).

At age 58, he passed away on Wednesday, 5:30 AM, on November 9, 1932, at his residence, 303 E. Franklin St., Richmond, VA, after a stroke the week before. Dr. Bloxton was a well known dentist in Richmond.

Benjamin Bloxton was on the All-Time Roster of University of Richmond "Spider" football players (1897-1898), along with Percy Bloxton (1894-1895).

He was survived by one brother, J. Willard; two sisters, Cora and Etta; a sister-in-law, and five nieces, also three nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Edmonia Barret Bloxton, born 1868, who died at age 57 on Tuesday at 6:30 PM, on August 18, 1925.

His dental offices were located at 504 E. Grace St, then 215 E. Grace St (Sept. 1909), then 303 E. Franklin St. in Richmond, VA. He was initiated into Xi Psi Phi, University College of Medicine, Dental Dept., as an honorary member of April 22, 1907. He became a member of the Virginia State Dental Association at their 39th Annual meeting, July 14-16, 1908, at Murphy's Hotel. He presented the essay, "Our Duty to the Children of the Poor" at several dentists' conventions.
