Funeral services for Richard C. Brush, 82, of Slaton will be Monday, March 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Westview Baptist Church with burial in Slaton's Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Mr. Brush passed from this life Thursday March 10, 2005.

He was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Hill County. On June 20, 1947 he married Geneta Maxey in Canyon, who preceded him in death on July 2, 2004. He was a locomotive engineer and member of the Westview Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater.

Survivors include sons, Rick Brush, of Point Comfort, and Gary Brush, of Slaton; daughter, Sandy Self, of Slaton; brothers, Robert, of Fredonia, AR, Don Brush, of Amarillo; sisters Betty Wilkins, of Lubbock, Faye Brush and Irene Crow, of Itasca; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
