Second Oldest child of the 7 Sager children orphaned on the Oregon Trail. They were cared for by the Marcus and Narcissa Whitman family at Waiilatpu in the Oregon Country, now Walla Walla Washington.
He was killed at the age of 14 along with his 16 year old brother, John Sager .
Their five sisters survived the attack but little Hannah Louise died from sickness after being held captive by the Indians.
