"Von M Nichols, 74, Columbus, died in Corry Memorial Hospital, Tuesday afternoon. He was born Aug 16, 1900, in East Branch, the son of Frank B and Nettie Hellyer Nichols. He spent 68 years in East Branch and Trimms Corners where operated a farm and spent several years on the state Highways Department. He was for many years caretaker of East Branch Cemetery. He was a member of East Branch Grange 1262 and East Branch Cemetery board. His last six years were spent in Columbus. Mr Nichols is survived by one nephew, William Armitage of Holiday, Fla, and a cousin, Mrs Treva Bugbee of Corry. His wife, Irene Braley Nichols, died Oct 6, 1973. Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home in Corry...The funeral service will be held there Friday at 2 pm. Interment will be in East Branch Cemetery."
