She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Buxton, in 1983.
She was a 1937 graduate of Washington County School of Nursing. She worked as a private duty nurse, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She was a member of Eastern Star; and Washington County Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol B. Mathers of Surprise, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald F. Buxton; one sister, Virginia C. Johnston; and two brothers, John F. Judd II and Fred L. Judd.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. Dennis L. Upton will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
