Lowell was born the son of Roy and Alice O'Brien Gotham. He was a 1963 graduate of Colton-Pierrepont Central School. A Marriage to Marie Alice Seavy ended in divorce. He married Sue Robertson on Nov. 19, 1987 in Amsterdam.
Mr. Gotham is survived by his wife, a son, Robin, Gloversville; a daughter Dawn Monks Gotham, Gloversville; three stepsons, Robert and Scott Aldous, Colton and Timothy Aldous, Crary Mills; a stepdaughter, Charmayne George Jett, Long Branch, Texas ; three sisters, Mrs. John (Barbara) Christy, Medina, Mrs. John (Ola) McCarthy, Winthrop and Mrs. William (Janice) Hicks, Spencerport, one grandchild and four step-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Wendell and Linton, died before him.
