LIDA E. McCLELLAN
Mrs. Lida E. McClellan, 80, of 444 Ida, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
She was born March 22, 1879 (Her other obit. says March 21, 1879), in Herman, Ill. She came to Kansas with her parents in 1898, and settled in Pretty Prairie. She had been a resident of Wichita since 1921.
Mrs. McClellan was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Esther Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen Brannon, 1220 Ida; two sons, Verle O. of Arbada (probably should be Arvada?), Colo., and J. Carrol, 554 N. Estelle; a sister, Mrs. O.K. Dunkin (Duncan?), Torrence, Calif.; three brothers, V.J. Barton, Topeka, Floyd Barton, Ottawa, and W.R. Barton, 312 Cleveland; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

City Resident Since 1921 Dies
Mrs. Lida E. McClellan, 80, off 444 Ida, died Wednesday night at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born March 21, 1879, at Herman, Ill., Mrs. McClellan had been a Kansas resident since 1898 when she and her father settled on a farm near Pretty Prairie. She had lived in Wichita since 1921.
She and her husband, James A. McClellan, who died in October, 1958, were married Oct. 17, 1901 at Pretty Prairie.
She was a member of Esther's Chapter, Order of Eastern Star at Pretty Prairie, Ida Rebekah Lodge of Wichita and of Trinity Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen Brannan, of 1220 Ida; two sons, Verle O. McClellan, of Arvada, Colo., and J. Carrol McClellan of 554 N. Estelle; a sister, Mrs. O.K. Duncan, of Torrance, Calif.; three brothers, V.J. Barton, of Topeka; Floyd Barton, of Ottawa, Kan., and W.R. Barton, of 312 Cleveland; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home with the Rev. W.E. McCoy, pastor of the Hilltop Manor Community Church officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
