James McClellan Dies on Monday At Age of 81
James Albert McClellan, 81, retired Coleman employee, died Monday morning at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born Nov. 22, 1876, at Pretty Prairie, Kan., he came to Wichita 37 years ago. He had worked for the Coleman Co. until 1954 when he retired.
Mr. McClellan was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. He was married to Lida E. Barton on Oct. 17, 1901, at Pretty Prairie.
Survivors, besides the wife Lida of the home, 444 Ida, include two sons, James Carroll (J. Carrol on the other obit.'s) of 554 N. Estelle and Verl(?) of Arvada, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. F.W. Brannan, 1220 Ida; two brothers, Frank of Cunningham, Kan., and David of Salem, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Baker, Chanute, Kan., and Mrs. Wilma Hobson, Salem, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 11(?) great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home. The Rev. R. D. Crawford, Trinity Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
