She was born Feb. 25, 1912, at Shelby Grove, the daughter of Jesse Newton and Dora Adeline Baker Farmer.
On Feb. 8, 1930, she married William C. Whitehead, who preceded her in death Apr. 24, 1964.
She had lived in Mississippi County her entire life and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include ten sons, Charles D., William C. Jr., Frank Russell, Arthur Jesse, George Irvin, James F., John David, Richard W., Benjamin A and Robert A. Whitehead; three daughters, Carla Jo Knaup, Jenny Lee Wedeking and Susan Risko; two brothers, Jesse and Jack Farmer; a sister, Emma Heim; 31 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a grandson.
Funeral service will be held Monday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
