Adrian Ray Kinnison, 80, of Berrien Springs, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2005, at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2005, at 10:30 A.M. at St John's Lutheran Church, 9193 Cleveland Ave., Baroda, with Rev. Kenneth S. Babcock officiating. Burial will follow in Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Baroda American Legion Post #345. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, May 22, 2005, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends or family that would like to make a memorial donation in Ray's name may do so to St. John's Lutheran Church, Baroda American Legion Post #345, or Hospice at Home of Buchanan Meadows Living Center. He served in the Navy from June 1942 until December 1945 during WWII on the Saratoga C-V3. Ray married Barbara Nichols on April 16, 1960, in Niagara Falls, Canada. He has owned and operated Ray's Welding Shop in Berrien Springs since 1980. Ray was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Baroda American Legion Post #345 for 35 years. He was a past Commander for Baroda American Legion. Ray is survived by his wife Barbara; children- Deborah Woodrick of Berrien Springs, Charles (Lyn) Kinnison of Berrien Springs, Stephen Kinnison of Prince Frederick, Maryland, Nancy (Richard) Freeman of Roxie, Mississippi, Cheryl Amolsch of Coldwater, Michigan, and Connie (Bill) Hatch of Utah; grandchildren- Shawn, Shelley, Sherry, Todd, Greg, Eric, Shawn, Angela, Michael, Stepheney, Tawnya, Torey, Daniel, Scott, Casey, and Brady; twenty three great-grandchildren; brother Marion (Louise) Kinnison of LaGrange, Indiana; and sisters- Anne (Bob) Carpenter of Montpelier, Ohio, Emmadale Julien of Sturgis, Michigan, Lela Newman of Edon, Ohio, Becky (Omer) Keller of Edon, Ohio, and Susie (Roy) Held of Edon, Ohio. Ray was preceeded in death by his parents; brothers-Jim and John Kinnison; and sister Grasia Kinnison.
