This person is the son of my second great grandfather Enoch Sargent, Jr. and my great grandmother Amy Negus and is their oldest child. He has 6 siblings. He was born when his grandfather Enoch was still alive. Enoch fought in the War of 1812. In the 1860's Junia moved from Pennsylvania, eventually ending up in the Dakota Territory with his brother. In 1875, he married Ida Mariah Dack (who was the daughter of William Le Roy Dack and Melissa Jane Morris). Together they had ten children (Glenni Feni [1875-1960], Jean Feni [1879-1954], William Enoch [1882-1935], Ray, Harry, Laura Ina, Lee Junia [1897-1972], Leslie [1898-1899], Gila Myrl [1900-1917], and Ira[1901-1901]). He came out to Los Angeles, California in 1905 and was out in Riverside by 1910. (Today the land he bought is part of the Riverside Agricultural School). He died in 1915 of Angina Pectoris (which is heart disease) in Riverside, California. He is buried near the Mausoleum in the Old Section of the Cemetery, under the Sargent Memorial next to his wife Ida.
