Rites Held For Mrs. J. B. Livers
Funeral rites for Mrs. J. B. Livers, 85, who died a week ago yesterday at her home in Waterville, were held Friday at the St. Mark Lutheran church with burial following in Riverside cemetery.
She was born November 3, 1854 in Ohio and came to Kansas with her parents in 1860 settling near Monrovia and later on a farm near Waterville, Since 1916 she had lived in Waterville.
Mrs. Livers was the last surviving charter member of the St. Mark church which was organized February 12, 1871. Until the death of her husband three years ago, the couple held the distinction of being the longest wedded in Waterville.
Surviving are her children: Misses Maude and Ada Livers, of the home; Mrs. Josephine Blackburn, Topeka; William Livers, Shafter, Calif.; Rev. Ralph Livers, Council Bluffs, Ia.; Glen Livers, Waterville. Rev. George Livers preceded his mother in death.
