Walter Vernon Yankie, 75, 826 South St., Greenfield, died suddenly at his home on Sunday.
He was born May 26, 1903, in Elmville, O.,the son of Anthony and Sarah Ann Miller Yankie.
He is survived by eight sons, Richard of Sunbury, Walter G., Robert, Willard E., James D., all of Greenfield, Dean of Washington C. H.,
William of Philadelphia, Pa., and Charles D. of Lebanon; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Helen) Robinette of Greenfield and Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Sword of Washington C. H.; 32 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. One daughter and one brother preceded him in death.
Services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday at Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Robert K. Blaine officiating.
Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be after 4 P.M. Tuesday.
