Virginia was born on April 17, 1912 in Straw, Texas and departed this life on Saturday, April 23, 2005 in Harrah, Oklahoma at the age of 93. Virginia, the daughter of Stash and Eva {Branski} Klotz, was a resident of Harrah. She moved to Harrah with her family in 1920.
Virginia married Charles Benedix on September 17, 1932 in Chandler, Oklahoma.
She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters and Altar Society at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah. She worked for the Harrah School system for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening and was a great cook.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; two brothers, Ed Klotz and Joseph Klotz and one sister, Josephine Russell. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Joyce Benedix of Harrah, Oklahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte & Paul Nickel of Harrah, Oklahoma, Dora Lee and Bud Kusek of Harrah, Oklahoma and Janet and Jack Martin of Harrah, Oklahoma; two brothers, Bill Klotz of Texas and Bernie Klotz of Washington; one sister, Polly Lane of Harrah, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. with Wake to follow Monday, April 25, 2005 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Harrah, Oklahoma. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah, Oklahoma with Father Alan Loth officiating. Interment will follow at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery in Harrah, Oklahoma.
