Last rites for Mrs. Beatrice Sochia, 68, of Lyndonville, widow of Frank Sochia, were held from the Greene Funeral Home Chapel last Sunday, May 18th, in St. Regis Falls. Mrs. Sochia, formerly of Santa Clara, died May 15th in Albion, N.Y. She was born in Westville on February 8, 1901, a daughter of William and Christina Barlow. She was married in September of 1931. Her husband predeceased her in October or 1954. While living in Santa Clara Mrs. Sochia held the offices of tax collector and welfare officer. Surviving are, two daughters, Mrs. Barclay Brabon and Mrs.Martha Greenwood, both of Lyndonville. Three step-children also survive: Mrs. Lester Farmer of Santa Clara, Mr. Ceceil Sochia of Florida and Mr. Everett Sochia of Lake Clear. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Beach of Schenectady and Mrs. Bernice DiBiasio of Providence, R.I. The Rev. George Brabon officiated at the funeral services.
