Harry A. Sayers of Turkey City, Clarion Co., PA born Sept 12, 1920 in Corsica, Clarion Co., PA he was a son of William and Katie Myers Sayers. He was employed as a truck driver and also worked as a dragline operator for area coal mining firms. A Veteran of World War II, he served overseas in the European Theater and was awarded Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals. Mr. Sayers was a Protestant. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were an infant son, a sister, Anna Mae Shrum, and two brothers, George and William Sayers. Funeral Services at William N. Rupert Mortuary in Knox, conducted by Rev. Lewis R. Fox. Interment will be in St. Petersburg Cemetery as stated in Obituary, but it is known that he was cremated and ashes were scattered at his home in Turkey City.
