FUNERAL FOR STRONG CITY PIONEER HELD SUNDAY

Lawrence A. McClellan, pioneer resident of Strong City died Thursday at 11:30 p.m.after a long illness.
He was born May 25, 1868 at Hillsdale, Michigan.
In 1888 he was united in marriage to Mattie Emma Case at Fort Scott, Kansas.
Mr. and Mrs. McClellan moved to Roger Mills County in 1901 where they homesteaded near Strong City and had lived there since that time.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Edna Scott, Rye, Colorado; Nellie Keleweno, Boulder, Colorado and Mrs. Lucille Smith, Ft. Worth, Texas; seven sons, Lester C. McClellan, Strong City, Fred McClellan, Mountain View, Missouri, Guy McClellan, Sudan, Texas, Orson McClellan, Alamosa, Colorado, Clyde McClellan, Pampa, Texas, Claude McClellan, Sacramento, California and Russell McClellan, Strong City; a brother Emmitt McClellan of Elk City and a sister, Mrs. Fred Emmitt, Canton, Okla.
His wife preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the Crawford school auditorium Sunday October 25 at 2:30 p.m. Committal was in the Silent Home cemetery with Scroggins funeral home of Cheyenne in charge.
