....Family reports says that he (Clayton) left the Canton, OK area headed for SE OK to find work, that he was murdered. The body was found and Arthur McClellan and his brother-in-law, Fred Emmitt, husband to Lula, along with Fred's daughter, Ruth went to Hugo OK to identify the body. All that was found was his hair and some bones. They brought the parts home in a shoebox and buried him in the Strong City Cem. no dates listed. ...
