Former Resident Dies In Florida

Alvin B. Bange, Sr., 62, Largo, Fla., died Sunday at 10 A.M. at the Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, Fla.
Born Feb. 6, 1906, in Hamel Township, Mr. Bange was a resident of Edwardsville for 56 years before moving to Florida in 1962. He was a building contractor here for 25 years.
Mr. Bange was the son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Wieneke) Bange.
He was a member of Edwardsville Lodge 1561. Loyal Order of the Moose and Carpenters District Council 169 of East St. Louis. He was affiliated with St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie; a son, Alvin B. Bange, Jr., Edwardsville; a stepson, Theodore VanZyle, Largo, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Wieland, Decatur, and Mrs. Charles (Vernice) Varley, St. Louis; a step-daughter, Mrs. David Laverne Hambelton, Wood River; two brothers, Wilbur Bange, Sr., Rosewood Heights, and Ben Bange, Clearwater, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Dewey (Agnes) Donaldson, Mrs. Ted (Rose) Eilers, and Miss Leona Bange all of Edwardsville, and Mrs. Robert (Irene) Williams, of Belleville, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Friends may call at the Lesley Marks Funeral Home in Edwardsville after 4 P.M. today and until the funeral services which will also be held in the funeral home at 1 P.M. Wednesday. The Rev. Father Donald Knuffman, assistant pastor of St. Boniface Catholic Church, will officiate.
Members of Edwardsville Lodge 1561, Loyal Order of the Moose, will meet at the Lesley Marks Funeral Home at 8 P.M. tonight.
Burial will be in the Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery at Bethalto.

Pallbearers in the funeral of Alvin B. Bange, Sr., held at 1 P. M. Wednesday in the Lesley Marks Funeral Home, were George Massa, Albert Meikamp, Horace Schmollinger, Harold Dankenbring, Harris Lynch, and Alvin Schaefer. Burial was in the Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Bethalto.
Alvin married Eunice Kayser on December 23, 1926.
