Myrtle Hendricker, age 87, of Shelbyville, MO, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008, at the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina, MO. She was born December 20, 1920, in Woodson, IL, the daughter of Javan Julius and Jane Elizabeth Preston Long. On March 24, 1946, she was united in marriage to Herman Hendricker. He preceded her on death on March 13, 1978. Myrtle is survived by two children, Gordon Wayne Hendricker and wife Karen of Shelbyville, MO and Joyce Elaine Minks and husband Glen of Shelbyville, MO; three grandchildren, Tina Davis and husband Jerry of Centralia, MO, Joseph Minks of Clarence, MO, and Melody Minks of Shelbyville, MO, three great grandchildren, one brother, Roy Long of Waverly IL, one sister, Marjorie White of Jacksonville, IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Glen David Minks three brothers, and four sisters. Myrtle was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shelbyville. She taught Sunday school for many years. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at the United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, MO. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, MO. Burial will be at Shelby Memorial Cemetery in Shelbyville, MO. The minister will be Barbara Lovelace. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Shelbyville.
