Dorothy M. (Parrish) Delaney, 87, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Saxton Riverside Care Center.
Dorothy was born on May 17, 1925 in St. Joseph to Charley and Minnie (Karrle) Parrish. She graduated from Benton High School and worked at St. Joseph Power & Light as a switchboard operator and retired in 1987.
She married William Pius Delaney, Jr. He preceded her in death January 15, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Kenneth Parrish and Thelma Ruse.
Surviving family includes sons, Mike and Cindy Delaney, of St. Joseph; David and Gayle Delaney, of Gower; and Greg and Mary Delaney, of St. Joseph; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters, Norma Bonham, of Savannah, Erma Brinton, of Gower; and Rose Tritten, Oklahoma City.
