Maudie E. (Robbins) McCraw, 92, of Cowpens, died Monday, May 9, 2005, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born August 5, 1912, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Robbins and Lela (Young) Robbins and the wife of the late William Grant McCraw.

Retired from Moores Dry Cleaners in Cowpens, she then worked for Fowler Brothers Dry Cleaners in Cowpens. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cowpens and was very active in her church in her earlier years.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Dearybury of Spartanburg; two sons, Bill McCraw of Spring, TX, and Bob McCraw, Sr. and his wife Janice of Waycross, GA; ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Peggie Amick of Lexington, SC; and by a granddaughter.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Visitation was 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at the First Baptist Church of Cowpens conducted by the Rev. Gregory Dry, Sr. and the Rev. Ronell Owensby. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Glenn Reese, Jr., David Reese, Tim Amick, Tommy Amick, Bob McCraw, Jr., and Derek Horne.

Honorary Escort was Senator Glenn Reese, Sr., David Horne, Jed Dearybury, Johnny Dearybury, and Michael Reese.
