Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. Armand J. Boehme, officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be held in the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Monday.
Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.
Edgar Henry, the son of William and Emma (Ludke) Eifert was born July 8, 1911 in Ottertail, MN. He married Luella Thalmann on October 22, 1934 in Ottertail. She preceded him in death on September 4, 2009. Edgar graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO in 1934 and shortly thereafter was ordained by his father. Over a span of 75 years, he served parishes in Loon Lake Township, Swanville, Waseca and Faribault. Together with his twin brother, Rev. Erhard and other colleagues, he was active for over 40 years with Camp Emmaus, a Lutheran Summer camp for youth.
He is survived by two sons, Tom (and Judi) Eifert of Fayetteville, PA and Daniel Eifert of New York, NY; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Luella; seven brothers and four sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault.
