Jacob Fritzler, 85, retired farmer and carpenter who helped build St. John's Lutheran Church in Windsor, CO, was buried Wednesday in Torrington, WY. Services were held in Windsor and Torrington.
Fritzler was born in Russia in 1874 and came to America in 1902. He lived in Fort Collins, CO, and Windsor, then moved to Wyoming, but returned to Windsor in 1941. He died Sunday, in a nursing home in Greeley, CO.
He helped build St. John's Church in 1906 and remodeled it in 1912.
His first wife, Christina, died in 1933. In 1936 he married Alice Meter, who survives. Other survivors include three sons, George, Torrington; Paul, Nampa, Idaho; and Herman, Windsor; a brother, Fred, Greeley; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
