Herman Fritzler, 85, Bonell Good Samaritan Center, formerly of Windsor, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Bonell Good Samaritan Center.

He was born Dec. 27, 1903, to Jacob and Christina (Schmidt) Fritzler in Fort Collins.

Mr. Fritzler lived in Windsor with his family until 1914 when they moved to Riverton, Wyo., where he finished his education. On Jan. 22, 1928, he married Mary Martin at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Windsor. The coupled moved to Torrington, Wyo., where they lived until 1939 when they returned to the Windsor-Severance area. He farmed until moving into Windsor in 1951. He then worked in Denver as a carpenter for eight years. In 1960 they bought the liquor store in Severance which they ran for nine years. They retired in 1969 and returned to Windsor. He was a ditch rider in the Severance area for Finley Lateral for 15 years. They moved to Century Three in Windsor in 1982 and to Bonell Good Samaritan Center in January 1989.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Windsor.

Survivors are his wife, Mary of Greeley; a daughter, a brother, a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren [survivors names omitted]. A brother, George, and a grandson, Kevin Clouse, are deceased.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor.
