George and Catherine Domson and their children came to the US abt. 1912. They initially settled in Huron County, MI near his brothers and uncle Peter Kolb. When some of his family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1918, George and Catherine and their family followed.

In the early to mid 1930s, they moved one last time and settled in the Platte Valley, in Goshen County Wyoming. About half of his siblings came to the US prior to and at the beginning of the Russian Revolution. His parents and several other siblings remained in Russia, and all are believed to have perished during the revolution.
