Pete was born February 13, 1936 in Lingle, Wyoming to George and Katherine Domson, Sr. He was born at home as the fourteenth child of fifteen. His parents immigrated from Russia in 1912. He grew up farming until high school when the Domson family moved to Torrington. Pete graduated in 1955 from Torrington High School. He served in active military duty from 1956 to 1958 in Fort Bliss, Texas. He was an instructor for anti-aircraft guns. He served in the National Guard for three years. He learned masonry in Rapid City, South Dakota and worked in Torrington for a brick layer. Pete married Carolyn Beth Adams in 1960. They had two sons and one daughter. He worked at Holly Sugar factory for twenty until he started his own business, "Pete's Excavating". He loved playing pool at the old pool hall downtown for many years. Pete and Carolyn also loved taking motorcycle trips, fishing and hunting with friends and family. Pete retired in 1998 and he and Carolyn traveled to Alaska for two months in their fifth wheel and loved it. They spent their winters in Arizona for about five years and traveled to several places including Hawaii. In recent years he loved having coffee with the "boys" down at Main Street Market.
