John Fanning, Sr., passed away at his home in the town of Milton at four oclock Tuesday morning, at the age of 77 years. A resident of Rock county for 55 years, he was prominent in the community and had scores of friends.
He is survived by seven children, Mrs. Thos. Doran, Janesville; Mrs. James Lewis, town of Rock; Mrs. Wm. McCann, John Fanning, Johnstown; Mrs. Clarence McNally, Hugh Fanning, Harmony; Patrick Fanning, Milton; and four brothers, James, Miles, Bartley and Stephen. Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral was held from St. Mary church in Milton Junction this (Thursday) morning.
