Olive Gladys Erickson Smith, 89, of Archer, passed away peacefully at home from natural causes on April 13, 2013.
Olive was born on November 20, 1923 in Archer, Idaho to Herman and Gladys Erickson.
She was married to Edward Smith in 1947. They were blessed to have one daughter, DeLana.
Olive worked in Salt Lake City at the American Linen and for many years as the custodian for the LDS Church. She was a member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers for more than 50 years. She loved her family and was a great example. She had a great sense of humor and always would give her opinion.
She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Smith; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Smith, and daughter, DeLana. She will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at the Archer LDS Chapel, 200 West 8000 South, with Bishop Reese Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 North 1st East, in Rexburg and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
