Mrs. Dills was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Lee Turner and Eliza Reece Birchfield. She was also preceded in death by a son, George Dills, Jr.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Jenkins of Fairview and one son, Charles (Doc) Dills of Fairview; one sister, Julie Sorrells of Canton; three brothers, Harry Birchfield of Morganton, Howard Birchfield of Lincolnton, and Lawrence Birchfield of Canton; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren.
