Robert Pickrel, 66, of Vidor, Texas, formerly of York, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1997 at Vidor. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was a retired retail store manager for McCrory Corp in York, PA.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth of Vidor; son, David (Ann) Pickrel of Hickman; daughter Lynn (Dave) Grubb of New Llano, LA; brother Claude (Doris) Pickrel of York; sister, Betty Kupper of Ogallala; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
