Lillian Bostwick Phipps Pulitzer Rousseau, known familiarly as Lilly Pulitzer, died this morning at her South County Road residence.
Mrs. Rousseau was 81.
She is survived by her children Liza, Minnie and Peter Pulitzer, and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Rousseau is best known for founding the Lilly Pulitzer fashion company in 1959, after designing colorful, printed shifts to wear at her fresh juice stand in Via Mizner.
