Juanita Wheeler Rutherford, 64, 404 McGuire Street, Ferguson, died Thursday, March 21, at her residence, following a long illness.

A Pulaski County native, she was born June 24, 1926, daughter of the late Bolin and Stella Dykes Wheeler. Her husband, James R. Rutherford, whom she married May 8, 1948, survives. She was a homemaker and attended the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Somerset.

Other survivors include her step-mother, Ruby Wheeler, Ferguson; a son, James "Jim" Rutherford, Ferguson; two daughters, Linda Hansford, Ferguson, and Cheryl Sears, Science Hill; two sisters, Doris Zimmerman, Nancy, Margaret Price, Tipp City, Ohio; a half-sister, Nancy Strunk, Ferguson; six half-brothers, David Wheeler, Dayton, Ohio, Tom, Joe and Don Wheeler, all of Ferguson, Glen Wheeler, Somerset, Bill Wheeler, Science Hill; five grandchildren, Sharon and Michael Rutherford, Scott and Angela Hansford, and Bryan Sears.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant daughters, Phyllis Anne and Brenda Kay Rutherford.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Ringgold Cemetery with Kenneth Shmidheiser officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Sunday at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall.

Pulaski Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
