Bernard Eugene "Bernie" Goodrich died Jan 5, 1994 after a short illness. Born Oct 24, 1914 in Lamont, Wisconsin. The son of Leon and Dorothy Bathan Goodrich. Lived most his life in Rockford. Married Mary C. Farley in Rockford, Dec 3, 1939. Retired from Rockford Blacktop, Teamsters Union local 325. Organized the Clothes Closet at St.Patricks Catholic Church, a community service to west side Rockford residents. Member of Holy Name Society; Third Degree Knights of Columbus and Saint Patrick Siver Shamrocks. He was a craftsman, an avid bowler and fisherman. Survivors include his wife Mary; Rockford, four sons, L. Eugene (Cheryl, Buffalo, New York, Raymond P. (Michele), Chuluota, Florida, Gary J., Chicago and Joseph F. (Gloria), Orlando, Florida.; three daughters, Sharon A. (Howie) Ware, Rockford, Dorothy L. (Robert) Emerick, Seattle, Washington, and Margaret M. "Peggy" (Patrick) Kenny, South Beloit; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Carol (Walter) Babbitt, Rockford. Numerous nieces and nephews; beloved companion, Misty. Predeceased by parents, daughter Carolyn R. Garrison; two brothers, Leon and Donald Goodrich; two sisters, Mildred Anderson and Marie Silverstro.
