Carol E. Babbitt, 84, of Loves Park, died Wednesday Aug 9, 1995 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born Nov 24, 1910, in Argyle, Wisconsin, daughter of Leon and Dorothy (Bathan) Goodrich. Lived more than 55 years in Rockford. Married Walter Babbitt on July 5, 1950 in Loves Park. Worked as an office worker for American Insurance Co. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She loved needlepoint, sewing and quilting. Survivors include her husband, Walter; daughter Marion, (Joseph) Foshee of Rockford; seven grandchildren, Risa (Melvin) Krahmer, Rhonda (Mark) Hongsermeier, Rebecca (Bill)Brantley, Radina (Quinn) Pehl, Roger (Pam) McDonald, Connie McDonald, and Mark McDonald;17 great-grandchildren; Daughter-in-law, Jean McDonald; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; son, Paul McDonald; two sisters, Marie Silvestro and Mildred Anderson; three brothers, Leon, Bernard, and Donald Goodrich and grandson, Donald Joseph Foshee.
