Her first husband was Jacob Sterkel (yes, they had the same surname). They had two children, a daughter and a son, who died in 1901 and 1902 respectively. Jacob also died in 1902.
Christina married Andrew Beisel, and was his second wife. He was born in Dreispitz in 1873, also to a family of ethnic Volga Russians.
