Teresa (Dyer) Smith married Edward Miles Smith (17xx-1815, *sic see below), who died Testate in Washington County, KY. He made his Will 11 August 1811 [*sic] and it was probated 11 Dec 1815 and filed in Will Book #B, page 469. He made his wife Executrix and Edward Clarkson and Basil Montgomery were the subscribing witnesses. In his Will, Edward M. names as legatees his wife Teresa and these children:
~ Patrick
~ Michael
~ Thomas Horatio
~ Daniel
~ George
~ Francis Lloyd
~ John
~ Ley [*sic] Smith (Levi J).

The 1840 Federal Census of Washington County, KY, said Teresa Smith was receiving her husband's Revolutionary War Pension.

Her burial entry on page 132 calls her Old Mrs. Teresa Smith and says she was buried 21 Oct 1840. Her inscription appears on the west side of the obelisk of Levi J. Smith and says Teresa Smith died 21 Oct 1840 in her 83rd year.

* Will written 11 Aug 1801 vs. 11 Aug 1811.

Daughter of Thomas Dyer (1715-1768) and Henrietta Clements (c.1721-1777) who married 24 Dec 1738 in Prince George's County, MD. Edward Miles Smith's Revolutionary War pension records confirm Edward's death in 1802 shortly after his youngest child was born; his will was written in 1801.
