Jack was the youngest brother to my great grandfather Joe. My uncle recalls a wonderful long embrace between Joe and Jack in the 1960s, at Joe's homestead in Clogher, County Tyrone.

Jack's middle name "Good" was likely in honor of his brother-in law Jack Good from Ballineen, County Cork, who had married Jack's oldest sister Catherine Dorothy Lyons in the early 1900s.
