Mrs. George Lloyd Dies in California Mrs. George Lloyd, 74 years of age, well known in Calgary and in the district surrounding Strathmore, died in Los Angeles, Wednesday, according to word received in Calgary. Mrs. Lloyd was born in Collingwood, Ont., and came to the Tudor district in 1888. She lived at Langdon for a number of years, later moving to Strathmore, where her husband operated a hotel. Mrs. Lloyd moved to California about ten years ago. She is survived by four sisters, (Louise) Mrs. J. H. [James Hartley] Lloyd, (Isabelle) Mrs. B. [Roy] Cowen, and (Sara) Mrs. L. [Lachlan] McKinnon, all of Calgary, and Mrs. (Elizabeth) E. [Edwin McEwan] Armstrong, of Indus; and two brothers, George Whitney of Langdon and Allan Whitney of Vancouver; three sons, Ambrose, Fred and Cecil in Los Angeles, and a daughter, Mrs. E, Parks in Ohio.
MRS. M. W. LLOYD DIES
Mrs. Ella L. Parks, of Sharon, wife of Noble county Game Warden Reuben W. Parks, has received word that her mother, Mrs. Mary W. Lloyd, 73, had died in a hospital at Los Angeles, Calif., following a heart attack.
Five years ago, she visited in the Sharon community, spending one year here where she made a wide circle of friends. She was affiliated with the Sharon Methodist church and Myster Sunday school class.
She is survived by three sons [Ambrose Whitney, Clarence Frederick, and Cecil Strathmore], one daughter [Ella, Mrs. Reuben Malcom Parks], and six grandchildren, one of whom is Malcolm Parks of Sharon. [One son, John Hartley Lloyd of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada (1901-1929) predeceased].
[Six grandchildren as follows: 1. Cecil's son, Norman Howard Lloyd; 2. Ella's son, George Malcolm Parks; 3. Ambrose's son, Camille Sanford Lloyd; and the children of John: 4. Mary Irene Lloyd, 5. Geraldine Myrtle Lloyd, and 6. John Stanley Lloyd.]
Funeral services were held in Los Angeles, Calif. Burial was in the San Gabriel cemetery. Mrs. Parks spent last summer at the home of her mother in the West.
