He was born Nov 5, 1898, in Scottdale and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, and its Men's Bible Class and was a member of Philanthropy Lodge 225 F&AM. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Glendora Carroll; one son, David N, Jr, of Greensburg; two daughters, Mrs William (Theda) Nair of Latrobe and Mrs John (Gladys) Yeneral of Greensburg, RD 7: two brothers, Charles B of Miami, Fla, and Homer (sic) [Elmer] E of Winter Park, Fla; two sisters, Mrs Ada Stillman and Mrs Mabel Steigner of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild."
