Albert Olson, 87, 501 Foster Ave., died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 1955 in Restorium, 2800 S. Main St., after a long illness. Born Feb. 22, 1868 in Boras, Westergotland, Sweden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Olson. Lived 68 years in Rockford, coming here from Sweden.

Married the former Matilda Person in Rockford. Employed as cabinet maker by West End Furniture Company for 40 years before retiring.

Survivors include; a daughter, Mrs. Alphild Leatherby, Rockford; a brother, Charles Wilmer, Rockford; a granddaughter, Mrs. Doris Hartman, Rockford; a grandson, Richard Leatherby; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sundberg-Chapin Funeral Home, 215 Hall St. with the Rev. J. Norbert Hielm, pastor of Broadway Covenant church, officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
