Wm. Heatherly Falls Few Feet; Injuries Fatal

Falling about eight feet about 4 o'clock yesterday from a step-ladder upon which he was working at the plant of the Clinton Bridge Co., William Heatherly, aged 38 years, residing at 506 North Eighth street, Lyons, suffered injuries which resulted in his death at 11 o'clock last night at Jane Lamb hospital.

Mr. Heatherly had been employed at the plant since last January.

He had been ill last week and was off duty and it is believed that the extreme heat yesterday, coupled with his weakened condition, caused him to faint and fall.

Mr. Heatherly had been a resident of Clinton for the past three years, of the state for eleven years and was 38 years of age. He leaves his wife and five small children, Edna, Carl, Ruth, Lula and Walter. Mrs. Heatherly and the children will leave tomorrow at 2:45 p.m. for the east to accompany the body to the old home in Elkins, West Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:46 o'clock at the Shadduck Chapel, Rev. E.G. Hunt officiating.
