Patrick P. "Pat" Farrens, 83, Maryville, died at 9:05 a.m. today at St. Francis Hospital where he had been a patient foor six days.
He was born Jan., 18, 1887, at Clearmont and was the son of the late Perry Alexander and Elizabeth McDonald Farrens. He was married Feb. 22, 1907, at Maryville, to Miss Opal Shroyer, who preceded him in death, Aug. 25, 1967. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Christian Church, Maryville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home. The Rev. Elbert Whitwell will officiate and burial will be in the Clearmont Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Dale Farrens, Maryville; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Perry Farrens, Ft. Collins, Colo., and Ralph Farrens, Burlington Jct., and a sister, Mrs. Eva Pence, Clearmont.
Tme family will meet friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
