E. P. Wilsey Died Suddenly Sat Oct 12, 1935
Eugene Pratt Wilsey, 79 for many years a resident of Pittsville, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, Oct 12 at 3:20 o'clock in the morning, at the home of his granddaugter, Mrs. Harry Stark, at Wisconsin Rapids. Death was caused by a stroke.
Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church, with the Rev. R. B. O'Neill officiating on Monday Morning at 2:o'clock and interment was made in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville, Mr. Wilsey was born at Madison on January 29, 1856 and spent his early life there. Later he moved to Menomonie, and came to the Pittsville district from that city in the year 1880. For 12 years he was employed in a stove mill in this city, later laking up the painter trade. He also operated the Standard Oil Co., bulk plant in this city for nine years.
He was united in Marriage to Melinda Bell, at Wautoma in the year 1885,
He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Brown, of Superior, three grandchildren, Mrs. Harry Stark and Mrs. Merle Bender of Wisconsin Rapids and Dorine Brown of Superior. One brother George of Menomonie and one sister Mrs. Clara Douglas of Maidstone, Canada also survive.
