Cora was the daughter of Leonard C. and Hannah Jane (Pratt) Wilsey. She was the 7th child. Her brothers are Dwight Henry, George R., Eugene Pratt and Oliver Emerson, and her sisters are Melissa Isabelle and Clara Jane.

Died at her home near Cedar Falls, April 23, 1893 at the age of 23 years. The decreased was born at Marshall, Dane County, March 5, 1870.
She came to Dunn County with her parents in childhood, where she has since resided. She married March 7, 1893, to James Barber of Cedar Falls. She has been a constant sufferer since about the age of seven years, but was never heard to complain, being of a mild and sweet temper. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. The family has the sympathy of the whole community.
